On October 16, the mass production ceremony of the large-scale production project of large-scale silicon materials for integrated circuits of Shandong Youyan semiconductor Materials Co., Ltd. was held.
It is reported that the project signed a strategic cooperation agreement in June 2018 at the “Symposium on the Conversion of New and Old Kinetic Energy by Central Enterprises to Shandong”, and signed an investment cooperation agreement on July 26, and officially settled in Dezhou Economic and Technological Development Zone.
The research project covers a total area of 650 acres and the total investment of the project is 8 billion yuan. It is the largest integrated circuit silicon material industry project in Dezhou so far. The project has been selected into the major project library of new and old kinetic energy conversion in Shandong Province and included in the key projects of 2019.
The first phase of the project started in March 2019 with an investment of 1.8 billion yuan. The construction includes an annual production line of 2.76 million 8-inch silicon wafers, 1.8 million 6-inch silicon wafers, and 300 tons of 12-18-inch large-diameter silicon single crystal production lines. The second phase of the 12-inch large-scale silicon wafer project for integrated circuits is also actively preparing, and construction is planned to start next year. It is worth mentioning that the project will also become the largest semiconductor material production base in the north.
