The new product achieves the industry’s highest rated power of 4W among thick film shunt resistors of 3264 size (3.2mm×6.4mm) by improving the resistor body material and applying pin temperature derating. This product is ideal for increasing power industrial equipment and consumer electronics, such as current sensing applications in motor control circuits and overcurrent protection circuits. In addition, by optimizing the element structure, an excellent temperature coefficient of resistance (TCR)*1 has been achieved in the thick film shunt resistor industry. Since it is not easily affected by temperature, current detection with high accuracy and reliability is possible.

The new product “LTR100L” has been put into mass production in September 2021 with a monthly production scale of 1 million units (200 yen per unit, excluding tax). The production bases for the pre- and post-process are ROHM Electronics Philippines, Inc. (Philippines).
