Dialog Launches Highly Optimized IO-Link IC to Help Connect Next-Generation Industry 4.0 Devices

Beijing, China, 26 February 2020 – Dialog semiconductor (DEX: DLG), a provider of highly integrated power management, charging, AC/DC power conversion, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth low energy technologies, today announced the launch of its latest IO-Link IC product, the CCE4503 . This latest IO-Link IC expands Dialog’s presence in the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) market, providing connectivity for the smallest, cost-sensitive IO-Link device sensors and actuators.

The CCE4503 is the first IO-Link IC launched since Dialog acquired Creative Chips in November 2019, further enriching the company’s mature IO-Link and main control IC product series. IO-Link is the first globally standardized serial bidirectional point-to-point communication technology (IEC 61131-9) for industrial automation networks, providing reliable communication between sensors, actuators and any fieldbus in the network.

The CCE4503 is a highly reliable and easy-to-use device-side IO-Link compatible transceiver that combines IO-Link standard communication and advanced protection circuitry with low power loss in a very small DFN10 3x3mm package. This makes it possible to add IO-Link connectivity to the most space-constrained industrial sensor and actuator devices. The design is strictly cost optimized so that more IO-Link devices can benefit from IO-Link connectivity, providing deeper access to cloud data.
