This year, Apple has been a step slower in the 5G process. The entire iPhone 11 series only supports 4G, making next year’s 5G iPhone highly anticipated.
On the date, foreign media 9TechEleven produced a set of renderings of the iPhone 2020 product line, a total of 5 models, based on the forecast report of Tianfeng International analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and JPMorgan Chase. In view of the prediction accuracy and reliability of the first two, the shape of this rendering is quite informative.
According to Ming-Chi Kuo, in 2020, Apple will release 5 new iPhones, 4 of which support 5G (iPhone 12 series), ranging in size from 4.7 inches to 6.7 inches. The 4.7-inch version looks like the iPhone 8 (iPhone SE2), and the other 4 look back to the iPhone 4.
From the picture, the 5G iPhone will be divided into the iPhone 12 series ($699-$799) and the iPhone 12 Pro series ($999-$1,099), all equipped with A14 processors and released in September 2020.
Among them, the iPhone 12 series includes: 5.4-inch OLED iPhone (rear dual camera), 6.1-inch OLED iPhone (rear dual camera);
The iPhone 12 Pro series includes: 6.1-inch OLED iPhone (rear triple camera + ToF) and 6.7-inch OLED iPhone (rear triple camera + ToF).
iPhone 11
From the appearance point of view, the design of the iPhone 12 Pro series is updated, and the bangs are smaller. The iPhone 12 will continue the shape of the current iPhone 11 series, adding dual cameras.
It is reported that the four 5G iPhones are all equipped with Qualcomm X55 baseband, and models that support Sub-6G or Sub-6G+mmWave are released according to different countries.
For countries and regions that do not have 5G or have a low penetration rate, Apple may use software to turn off the 5G function of Sub-6G iPhone models to reduce the cost of purchasing X55 basebands.
There is also an iPhone SE2 with a 4.7-inch LCD screen, A13 processor, and a single camera. It will be released in spring 2020, starting at $399.
